L'Orangerie conjures a grove of orange trees celebrating the abundant beauty of citrus in full bloom. Hand-painted on silk in vibrant color and accented with gold, this design comes alive as black and gold beaded bees crafted from glass beads and rhinestones buzz purposefully among the fragrant blossoms, their sequined wings catching light. The spirited painting style evokes the warmth and vitality of those sun-drenched groves, transforming your walls into a living tribute to California's fragrant heritage.
How much do the wall coverings cost?
Panels start between $1,500 - $1,600 for a hand-painted design on silk or gilded paper. Prices increase with embellishments such as embroidery and beading as they are incredibly labor intensive as all the work is done by hand. It is possible to partially embroider the elements you wish to highlight in order to minimize the cost. We can provide a rough estimate based on your wall dimensions, chosen pattern, and any customization preferences.
How do I order wall coverings?
Fill out our inquiry form to begin the process. We’ll follow up with next steps based on your vision and needs.
Do you offer trade accounts?
Yes. We offer trade pricing for qualified interior designers and trade professionals.
Do you have wall coverings in stock?
No. Each wall covering is made to order for your specific space.
Can I customize a design or choose different colors?
Yes. You can choose your background (silk or gilded paper) and request custom color palettes for an added fee. We can match colors in your rug, trim, artwork, or furnishings.
What if I want something completely original?
We love custom projects. Original murals or patterns can be created based on your ideas or inspiration, with added design fees based on scope.
Do you sell by the roll?
No. Our wall coverings are only sold by the panel. Panel widths vary based on the material (41”-43”), and heights are customizable up to 12 feet.
What are the panels made of?
All designs are hand-painted on silk or gilded paper. Optional embellishments include embroidery with silk threads and beading with glass or metal beads.
Do they have a protective finish?
A protective varnish can be applied before or after installation. It may slightly darken the color and reduce the sheen, so it is a case-by-case decision. Sometimes clients choose to install a protective barrier of glass, for example, while young children are in the house.
What if I can’t install wallpaper in my home?
Panels can also be framed and hung individually or as a series, ideal for temporary spaces or rental properties.
How long does it take?
Most projects take 8–12 weeks from design approval and deposit. Samples typically take 2–4 weeks. More time is needed for custom designs or embellishments. Rush orders can usually be accommodated for an additional fee.
Do you offer samples?
Yes. We offer made-to-order 2’x3’ samples starting at $200. Embroidered or beaded samples will cost more. These are intended to represent texture, color, and material; not the full pattern or scale.
What does “tailored to your space” mean?
We customize the pattern layout to flow around doors, windows, fireplaces, and furniture placement. This service includes a detailed Elevation Panel Plan. Clients provide precise elevations, or we can measure your space (San Francisco Bay Area only for a fee).
How do I install the wall coverings?
We recommend hiring a professional wallpaper installer. A detailed Installation Guide is provided with your order. We’re also happy to refer trusted specialists.
Can you help me find an installer?
Yes. If you don’t have one already, we’ll connect you with professionals who are familiar with our materials.
